Breakthrough Autism’s Executive Director Appointed to the Ontario ASD Clinical Expert Committee
The Government of Ontario recently appointed Nancy Marchese, Executive Director and Founder of Breakthrough Autism, as part the Ontario Autism Spectrum Disorder Clinical Expert Committee. Committee members offer the Ministry of Children and Youth Services advice with respect to evidence-based practices to help children and young people with Autism Spectrum Disorder get the right support and treatment.
“It’s a privilege to further support children with autism and their families access evidence-based services across Ontario. I’m looking forward to working collaboratively with the committee to create impactful and meaningful change for so many people.” said Marchese.
Nancy began working with children with autism in 1998. This sparked a lifelong passion for the field of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). Since then, she’s become a Board Certified Behavior Analyst and Clinical Psychologist, working with hundreds of children and their families. Nancy is known for incorporating research into her client’s programming, including empirical techniques that address the unique wants and needs of each child and their family. She has published in the flagship Journal of Applied Behavior Analysis (JABA), and she actively presents at provincial and international conferences.
